Anesthesiology - Cardiac Physician

Location: Hudson

HCA Healthcare Anesthesia Services is currently seeking a Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join the dynamic team at HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL. Hudson is located about 30 miles north of Clearwater Beach. Ideal candidate will be Cardiac Fellowship trained or have demonstrated cardiac proficiency with TEE.

Highlights of Opportunity:

• Anesthesia Care Team model of 9 Anesthesiologists (3 CV and 6 General) and 22 CRNAs covering 12 ORs plus EP Lab, Cath Lab and Endo. Supervision of CRNAs 1:4.
• Diverse mix of highly complex cases including Trauma, Cardiac, heavy Ortho, Endo, Neuro, Spine, Vascular, Bariatric, Robotics, etc. No Peds. No OB.
• Average surgical volume of 9000 annually.
• 250 open hearts, including Cath lab and EP close to 730
• Cardiac cases include CABG, AVR/MVR/TVR, AAA repair, Mitral Clips, Watchman, and Afib. Aortic dissections rarely.
• Average work week is 50 hours. Cardiac call is 1:3 beeper from home plus 1 Weekend a month. Any extra calls are paid out additionally. 30 minute response time.
• Hearts are usually done solo but may have a CRNA as well.
