Wound Care - Sarasota

We are seeking an experienced Physician for its established Wound Care team in Bradenton, FL. Provider must be well versed in advanced wound care methods including wound VAC and skin substitutes.

• Examine, assess, prescribe, and treat patients within scope of practice.
• Debridement of wounds by sharp, enzymatic, and autolytic methods.
• Application and management of topical wound care and associated wound management products.
• Diabetic Foot Ulcer risk assessment for Members with Diabetes, as per the ADA guidelines.
• Direction and recommendation of associated services to improve wound healing outcomes, including labs, radiologic tests, vascular tests, referrals, home health care, VAC device, and/or orthotics.
• Interpretation of diagnostic tests and recommendation of appropriate follow-up.
• Prescribe required medications and/or Durable Medical Equipment or supplies (DME) to facilitate wound healing and/or wound prevention.
