This role oversees purchasing, licensing coordination, access management, budgeting, maintenance, and data analysis for a continuing resources budget of approximately $6 million. Working collaboratively across Resource Management & Discovery Services (RMADS), acquisitions, metadata, administrative budgeting, and subject librarians, the Serials Librarian ensures that serials collections support the teaching and research needs of the University.

Additional responsibilities include supporting metadata for continuing resources, managing title lists and cost data, resolving access or record issues, and preparing statistical and budget reports.
- As faculty, the Serials Librarian participates in library committees and initiatives, stays current with developments in serials librarianship through continuing education and professional engagement, and contributes to the profession through service, research, and scholarly activities.
- MLS/MIS/MLIS degree from a program accredited by the American Library Association or master’s degree in a specialized area directly relevant to the position.
- Minimum two years of relevant experience in an academic or research library setting

- Demonstrated experience in collection development and collection assessment in an academic or large public library setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills; experience working collaboratively within a complex organization and team environment.

- Experience collecting and analyzing usage statistics for making applicable recommendations
- Experience working with Electronic Resources Management Systems (ERMS) and/or integrated library systems (ILS)
