Career Development Specialist – Polk Correctional Institution, Work Camp

• Facilitating employability and life skills programs; administering and interpreting assessments.
• Providing cell‑front instruction for the Compass 100 Hybrid curriculum and Thinking for a Change.
• Conducting supplemental in‑cell assignments under the direction of the Lead Educator.
• Facilitating pre‑release connections with community providers and employers for job search, recruitment, and placement activities.
• Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions in the Department of Corrections approved format; maintaining documentation of services delivered.

• Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or high school diploma) + two (2) years of professional experience in workforce development, social services, or corrections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

• Associate’s Degree and at least one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.

• Competitive salary: $41,200.00 annually.
