• Evaluate first‑year application types and implement university policies and procedures related to first‑year admissions.
• Assist in planning and coordinating recruitment activities; represent FSU to prospective students, parents, and counselors.
• Coordinate and manage the application review process for first‑year students; manage acknowledgment of incomplete applications.
• Represent the University for first‑year admissions; frequent contact with prospective students, applicants, parents, public, officials, personnel, high school counselors; provide interpretation of policies and procedures; participate in special events hosted by the Office of Admissions.
• Extensive travel throughout Florida and out of state; position requires operation of a motor vehicle.
• Counsel prospective students and represent the University at sponsored admissions events; provide information about the University and its programs.
• Review and evaluate policies and procedures; make suggestions and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Counsel current and prospective students regarding admission scholarship opportunities, eligibility, and renewal requirements; refer specialized scholarship questions to Program Manager or senior leadership.
• Assist other sections during peak times in support of the Division of Enrollment Management goals.

• Bachelor's degree and one year of experience; or high school diploma/equivalent and five years of experience (combination of post‑high‑school education and experience equal to five years).
• Must have a valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain prior to hire.

• A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of complimentary experience preferred.
• We seek enthusiastic candidates who are detail‑oriented, and who work well independently as well as in a team.
• Experience working with various populations, reviewing transcripts, and interpreting and applying admissions tests is preferred.
• Ability to review, analyze, formulate, and organize data and information and follow through on assignments.
• Experience relevant and related to the responsibilities of the job.
• Qualified candidates will possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously.
• Experience counseling and/or providing expertise and advice is required.
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software.
• Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ideal candidates will have a strong sense of initiative, the demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently, and the ability to make sound judgments while working in a deadline‑driven environment.

The anticipated salary for this position is around $44,056.80 annually, commensurate with education and experience.
