Tallahassee State College (TSC), recently recognized as one of the Most Promising Places to Work in Community Colleges for 2025, is excited to announce openings for the position of Biology Adjunct Faculty. We’re looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.
What You’ll DoAs an Adjunct Faculty the day‑to‑day responsibilities will include:
- Provide instruction, service and support of college policies and procedures, along with opportunities for professional development.
We’re seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate must:
- Minimum of a Master’s degree in Biology or related biological subfield; or
- Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Biology or related biological subfield.
- Ability and willingness to teach on campus is preferred but remote teaching opportunities may exist.
In addition to the minimum qualifications listed for the positions, applicants must be able to work in any clinical settings. All prospective faculty are expected to demonstrate the following characteristics:
- Commitment to student retention and success
- Commitment to development and assessment of student learning
- Use of technology and innovative approaches to enhance teaching and learning, including distance learning and alternative delivery systems.
- Willingness to support a diverse population of learners inside and beyond the classroom
- Ability to work in a participatory and collegial setting
