Training Specialist
Inside Higher Ed – Join FSU’s College of Social Work as a Training Specialist for The Institute for Quality Children's Services (IQCS) where we are committed to excellence in children’s out‑of‑home services. Our team works across child service systems to conduct cutting‑edge research to inform practice and policy and provide consultation, evaluation, training, and technical assistance to elevate service quality and outcomes.

Responsibilities- Design, implement, and evaluate comprehensive training and professional development programs for institute clients and stakeholders. Conduct needs assessments, develop curricula and training materials, deliver engaging instruction, and evaluate learning outcomes to ensure effectiveness and alignment with institute goals and best practices.
- Develop and prepare training materials, participant manuals, facilitator guides, and technical documentation to support effective instruction and knowledge transfer. Ensure all materials are accurate, accessible, and aligned with institute goals and practices. Provide technical assistance to supplement training.
- Support the development and refinement of training policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistency, quality, and alignment with institute goals and professional standards. Collaborate with internal teams and subject matter experts to ensure policies reflect best practices and evolving research.
- Review current research, literature, and evidence‑based resources to inform curriculum development and ensure training content reflects the latest best practices, standards, and emerging trends relevant to the field.
- Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience OR a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience (or a combination of post‑high school education and experience equal to six years).
- Prior experience working in residential treatment or group care.
- Experience working in child services systems (e.g., child welfare, juvenile justice, children’s mental health).
$50,000 – $55,000, commensurate with experience.
