DepartmentThe Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) at the Florida A&M University-Florida State University College of Engineering is pleased to invite applications from highly qualified individuals for tenure-track faculty positions in Aerospace (Propulsion, Structures, and Space Guidance, Navigation, and Controls) in Tallahassee, Florida.
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate is expected to establish and maintain a robust externally funded research program, have a strong commitment to teaching excellence in undergraduate and graduate courses, and participate in college and professional service.
QualificationsCandidates must possess an earned Ph.D. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related discipline, demonstrate the ability to create and sustain an internationally recognized research program in their field of expertise, and have a strong interest in engineering education.
Preferred QualificationsWe are interested in candidates whose research is grounded in mechanical & aerospace engineering in fields including but not limited to Aerospace Propulsion, Aerospace Structures, Space Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC). Other areas of Aerospace Engineering will also be considered, particularly if they complement existing program strengths. This position is at the assistant level, but well-qualified candidates will be considered at a higher rank.
