Teacher Assistant/ Paraprofessional, Special Education Teacher

63012 Teacher, Deaf/Hard of Hearing Districtwide (Part time up to 15 hours per week)
Primary focus of this position is to provide supports for students who are deaf/hard of hearing including classroom teacher training, assistive technology, student screenings, connections to community services, and parent support. Other areas of support may include behavior de‑escalation and management support, modified classroom curriculum, and other related assistive technologies.
Responsibilities- Provide classroom teacher training for students who are deaf/hard of hearing.
- Support assistive technology use and implementation.
- Conduct student screenings.
- Connect students and families to community services.
- Offer parent support.
- Assist with behavior de‑escalation and management support.
- Help modify classroom curriculum to meet student needs.
- Provide support with other related assistive technologies.

Serving students from Key Largo to Key West - Hours per day: 3.75 up to 15 hours per week

Qualifications- Eligibility for Florida certification in Deaf or Hard of Hearing (grades K-12) is required.
- American Sign Language endorsement and Exceptional Student Education (grades K-12) are preferred.
