Substitute Teacher
The Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.
Responsibilities include:
- Follow all Crenshaw Academy rules, policies, procedures, and expectations.
- Follow the lesson plans and instructions provided by the classroom teacher.
- Supervise and support students throughout the school day.
- Maintain appropriate classroom management and student behavior.
- Be available to accept assignments with an early-morning call when substitute coverage is needed.
- Work the regular school hours for the assigned position.
- Communicate any significant student, classroom, or disciplinary concerns to the appropriate school administrator.
- Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Small class size, no more than 12 in an elementary classroom or 15 in a MS/HS class
