Position Concept

This position is for a Senior Engineer (III) level. It involves managing projects within the Outage & Project Management (O&PM) Department, focusing on power plants, capital projects, and operations and maintenance (O&M) tasks. Responsibilities include serving as a discipline engineer, coordinating project efforts, and supporting technical feasibility and engineering studies related to the Energy Supply area. The role also involves developing and maintaining standards for engineered systems to enhance safety, capacity, reliability, and environmental compliance using new technologies and techniques.

Title: Electrical Engineer III

Location: North Ruskin, Florida

Shift: 8 Hr. X 5 Days

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead engineering efforts on projects, supporting all phases from design to commissioning.
  • Ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with various departments and contractors to meet project milestones.
  • Review engineering documents for accuracy and quality.
  • Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates.
  • Facilitate project meetings and communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications

Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, minimum 8 years of experience in design and project engineering, knowledge of electrical distribution systems, and safety compliance.

Preferred: FE certification, Florida PE license, knowledge of power plant electrical systems, NEC, IEEE, NFPA standards.

Work Conditions and Competencies

Work in industrial environments, including heights and confined spaces, with some travel and overtime. Competencies include building relationships, innovation, safety, operational excellence, ownership, strategic thinking, and sound judgment.
