A Snapshot of Your Day
Will be providing technical support and helping troubleshoot problems with the Product Engineers in the manufacturing of investment castings that meet the highest quality standards at the lowest possible cost at the Gibsonton, Florida location.
How You’ll Make An Impact- Work closely with Product Engineers and Senior Product engineers for support and to gain knowledge about dimensional control within the casting process.
- Learn and utilize basic engineering principles and creativity to develop and improve processes that result in the production of quality castings that conform to customer specifications and timetables.
- Develop clear work instructions pertaining to the investment casting process and work with manufacturing on any improvements to instructions.
- Work with manufacturing while assisting the Engineering team in the production of castings.
- Operate equipment and perform some manufacturing operations including, but not limited to, wax assembly, injection, sandblast, grinding, or knockout to determine the best process and to expedite engineering parts.
- Investigate dimensional issues within the investment casting process, adjust the process if needed, and create in‑process verifications.
- Evidence of a high school diploma or GED, and currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Engineering program in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Chemical engineering.
- Ability to read engineering instructions, work with mathematical concepts, and computer–literacy.
- Demonstrated mechanical skills and knowledge of or interest in industrial machinery.
- Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without the need for current or future employer‑sponsored work authorization.
- Position requires an export license from the Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security, and/or the Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls. Issuance of any required license is a prerequisite for this position. Applicant must be able to work with export‑controlled technology in accordance with U.S. export control law.
