Position SummaryThe Wastewater Treatment Plant Technician will maintain and repair equipment, ensuring optimal performance in water and wastewater treatment processes. The role requires understanding of distributed control systems, troubleshooting skills, and performing maintenance tasks as needed.

Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on treatment equipment.
- Operate and monitor control systems for efficiency.
- Analyze water quality and system performance, making adjustments.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks related to equipment installation.
- Collaborate to troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities.
- Ensure safety compliance, especially when working with hazardous materials.
- Perform cleaning and other facility maintenance tasks.
- Interpret engineering data and perform technical tasks.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years experience in water and wastewater treatment preferred.
- Proficiency in treatment processes and operations.
- Strong math skills for chemical dosing and flow calculations.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic systems repair.
- Ability to operate tankers safely.
- Knowledge of plumbing systems.
- Ability to analyze control system data.
- Physical ability for heavy lifting.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Level 3 Water and Class C Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License required.
- Valid Class E Driver’s License required.
