Thunderbolt Solutions is seeking to hire an Engineering Technician VI (VLS Vertical Launch Systems Technician)
MK 41 Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) and associated Magazine Safety Systems

- Provide fleet-level technical assistance, assessments, and logistical support for U.S. Navy shipboard MK 41 Vertical Launching Systems (VLS) and associated Magazine Safety Systems
, utilizing advanced mechanical and electrical expertise to ensure system readiness and safety compliance. - Interpret and apply shipboard technical documentation, drawings, and schematics to diagnose, repair, configure, and document equipment deficiencies, ensuring accurate restoration and mission-capable system performance.
- Configure, integrate, and verify VLS and magazine safety equipment in alternate shipboard structures as required to support operational and mission-specific requirements, while maintaining compliance with Navy technical standards and safety protocols.
SPECIFIC
EXPERIENCE:
In order to meet the requirements of this position, a qualified candidate must have a combination of mechanical, and electrical disciplines as well as:
1. Full time, hands-on experience in the accomplishment of Fleet Technical Assistance, Assessment and Logistical Support of U.S. Navy ships’ MK41 Vertical Launching and Magazine Safety Systems.
2. Full time, hands-on experience in interpreting shipboard technical documents to assess, repair and document equipment deficiencies, and configure equipment in alternate structures to meet mission requirements.
Compensation for this role is governed by an applicable Wage Determination under the Service Contract Act.
