To excel as a Mortgage Loan Originator at San Antonio Citizens Federal Credit Union, candidates must possess a strong understanding of mortgage applications, processing, underwriting, and closing processes. Familiarity with both conventional and government mortgage programs, along with knowledge of secondary market basics and pricing structures, is essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate exceptional relationship-building abilities and strong interpersonal communication skills, enabling them to connect effectively with borrowers, realtors, and internal staff.
The ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple loans at various stages of the process is crucial for maintaining efficiency. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and mortgage lending technology platforms is required to navigate daily tasks seamlessly. A commitment to delivering an exceptional member experience that aligns with SACFCU’s service culture is vital, and candidates should have a minimum of three years of sales experience in mortgage lending, preferably within a credit union or financial institution, alongside a demonstrated history of successful mortgage origination.
