Financial Analyst, Real Estate Finance
Spruce Financial Group is a Southeast-based private equity & credit firm focused on direct lending, co-sponsored real estate finance, all types of "gap" financing, note purchases, and investing customized growth capital into lower and middle market operating businesses. This role will be responsible for managing, growing, and supporting the origination process from our continual pipeline of bridge loan and preferred equity requests.
This role will also produce new lead generation, manage relationships with our network of brokers and counter parties, and interact with our investors, new potential borrowers, and current borrowers. General portfolio management will also be required - at times involving loan servicing, monitoring, and reporting. We service all of our loans and manage all of our investments in house including but not limited to underwriting, reporting, originating, invoicing, distributions, and year end accounting / tax reporting.
Our main focus is asset based short term bridge loans, roughly 1-2 years in length, and $2,000,000 to $15,000,000 in size secured by large tracts of land in the southeast.
This role will require operational support, generating leads for new private loans, and the ability to take an initial request to the "term sheet" or "LOI" stage for management review. Excel and Power Point proficient with regard to producing marketing materials and financial models. Room for growth within the firm is expected subject to performance.
QualificationsA college degree is required. No less than 4 years of professional work experience preferred. Accounting, Finance, Lending or Private Equity investing experience strongly preferred. Familiarity and experience with the Financing of Real Estate Development preferred.
