Position Overview and Responsibilities

Process Adult Care Food Program (ACFP) applications in accordance with 7 CFR Part 226, DOEA standards, ACFP Policy Manual and FAC 64E-11. Assist with contract administration, amendments, pre‑approval site visits, and programmatic reviews. Provide technical assistance to providers and stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to ACFP providers, potential providers, and internal/external stakeholders via phone, email, Teams, etc.
  • Maintain contract management files and logs per CFO Memo No. 06 (2011‑2012) and USDA/Department of Financial Services standards.
  • Maintain a log of all provider reviews and corrective actions. Plan and perform required programmatic reviews, including unannounced onsite monitoring visits and desk reviews.
  • Prepare written reports and follow‑up on corrective actions; issue serious deficiencies under guidance of the Nutrition Program Manager.
  • Advise the Nutrition Program Manager on policy problems, recommend solutions, and assist in developing forms and training materials.
  • Conduct outreach activities to expand provider participation.
  • Review and approve monthly provider claims/invoices; track and request documentation as needed.
  • Organize and review backup documentation required by the Department of Financial Services.
  • Assist in completing USDA programmatic reports, expense reports, budgets, and other assignments.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of federal and state laws and rules pertaining to the program and contract management.
  • Maintain continuing professional education and training in the contracting process.
  • Travel throughout Florida; required at least 50% of the time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Work well with others, including departmental staff and providers.
  • Critical thinking, analysis, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Reading comprehension and writing skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of federal and state laws and contracting regulations.
  • Ability to interpret and apply laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Financial data analysis and monitoring review capabilities.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
