JOB SUMMARY

This is a Tax Specialist II position in the General Tax Administration Program, Taxpayer Services Process, Tax Information Section. The incumbent provides comprehensive policy and procedural guidance to internal and external customers. The incumbent also personally responds to inquiries, researches tax issues, and examines files concerning taxpayer accounts for compliance using the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX). In addition, the incumbent provides training and assistance in all areas of taxation.

MINIMUM

REQUIREMENTS
  • Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue.
  • Two years of experience providing customer service that includes telephone or written communication in the General Tax Administration Program.
  • Two years of experience researching tax issues using Florida or federal tax laws.
  • Two years of experience reviewing customer account history for compliance using the System for Unified Taxation (SUNTAX).
SALARY

The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $4,086.61 monthly/$49,039.36 annually.
