Starting Salary: $17.87/hr (internal promotion will be filled at the minimum of the pay grade or up to 5% of the employee’s current rate, whichever is higher.)

The Bureau of General Services seeks an individual to work in a warehouse environment processing records. This position requires strong, detail‑oriented skills. Major duties will include working within a warehouse processing records and serving as a backup to the mail room—preparing, sorting, and shipping USPS, Fed Ex, and internal mail. Performs other duties as required.

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A high school diploma is required.
• Must be able to lift 35‑pound boxes daily.

• Preference will be given to candidates with 1–3 years’ experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Experience operating a forklift, preferred.
• Knowledge of working with records/files.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Skilled in the use of personal computers, including a working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.

All prospective candidates will be subject to a sex offender check, criminal background checks (state, local, and national), and pre‑employment drug screening for direct care positions.

A valid driver’s license is required. If initially hired with an out‑of‑state license, the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida state driver’s license within 30 days of hire. Licenses suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (business purpose/employment/education only licenses), and some types of restricted licenses are not acceptable. Licenses with corrective‑lens restriction are acceptable, provided the driver wears corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.
