We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to grow our team of Internal Auditor and Investigators. The candidate we seek anticipates growing their career in a fast-paced, expanding environment. The position plays a vital role not only in protecting the assets of the County but also in auditing guardian ships, further contributing toward protecting those who are the most vulnerable in our community.

Excellent benefits, including participating in a Florida Retirement Plan and medical, dental, and vision plans, and tuition reimbursement, are just some of the offerings available. The minimum starting pay is $58,656 annually. Starting salary is commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications, up to $73,253.

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting or related field is required. One to three years of experience is preferred in Accounting, Auditing, or Government Finance; however, candidates with a self-proclaimed interest in developing their audit skills will also be considered. Proficiency in Excel and Word is important, but the position provides opportunities to learn Teammate, and audit maintenance system, and Benchmark, a court docket database that is used throughout the state of Florida.

This opportunity affords the individual scheduled continuing education to obtain meaningful Certifications as a Certified Inspector General Auditor (CIGA), a Certified Inspector General Investigator (CIGI), or a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
