The Regulatory Specialist III supports the Childcare Licensing Program within the Florida Department of Health, conducting inspections of childcare homes and facilities, investigating complaints, processing licensing applications, and providing technical assistance to providers. The position works in Sarasota County with daily in-office and field responsibilities, reporting to the Environmental Supervisor I.
Key qualifications:- Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one
- Computer literate with proficiency in hardware, software, and databases
- Knowledge of child protection and family support practices
- Ability to conduct inspections and maintain detailed case files
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree preferred
