This Government Operations Consultant II position with the Florida Department of Corrections, located in the Central Office Office of Legislative Affairs in Tallahassee, manages correspondence and inquiries from inmates, families, and the public. The role tracks and coordinates responses to complaints and requests received from the Governor's Office, legislators, and other sources while maintaining confidentiality and ensuring compliance with Department rules and Florida statutes.
The position requires fluency in Spanish for writing, speaking, and document translation.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and conversing in Spanish with ability to translate English to Spanish documents
- Knowledge of Florida Department of Corrections rules, policies, and procedures governing inmates
- Experience managing correspondence control databases and tracking systems
- Familiarity with Florida Statutes pertaining to Citizen Services
- Ability to work with Governor's Office and legislative offices on citizen service requests
