Location: Tallahassee
The Government Operations Consultant II works within Florida Commerce's Division of Workforce Services, conducting advanced-level professional work related to researching and writing policy guidance for Welfare Transition and SNAP Employment Training programs. The role provides training, technical assistance, and policy guidance to Local Workforce Development Boards throughout Florida, with significant independence and responsibility for program compliance and operational support.
Key qualifications:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or four years of equivalent relevant work experience
- At least two years of experience researching federal and state statutes, regulations and governing authorities for a state or federal-funded program
- At least two years of experience providing training and technical assistance for a state or federal-funded program
- At least two years of experience working with workforce programs
- Professional writing experience
- Florida Certified Contract Manager (FCCM) certification is a plus
