Location: Sarasota

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Part-Time Ultrasound Lab Instructor to join our team. The Ultrasound Lab Instructor will be responsible for facilitating hands-on learning experiences for students enrolled in our ultrasound technician program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnostic medical sonography and a passion for educating and mentoring future healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate laboratory sessions for students enrolled in the ultrasound technician program.
  • Demonstrate proper ultrasound techniques and procedures to students.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to students to enhance their skills and proficiency in ultrasound imaging.
  • Supervise students during lab activities to ensure safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of lab curriculum and educational materials.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and faculty members to integrate lab activities with classroom instruction.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the ultrasound lab equipment and facilities.
  • Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and incorporate relevant updates into lab activities.
  • Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field required;
    Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience as a diagnostic medical sonographer.
  • Previous teaching or instructional experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively work with diverse groups of students.
  • Proficiency in using ultrasound equipment and software.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
