Position: Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

Location: Tallahassee, FL

Schedule: PRN/Per-diem

Compensation: $35.00/hr.

Hospital: Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post‑ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients. PTAs play a central role in delivering compassionate, effective treatment throughout each patient’s recovery.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the delivery of physical therapy services, including transportation and therapeutic exercises.
• Carry out functional activities and therapeutic interventions designed to meet patients’ long‑term goals, such as strengthening, coordination, balance, posture, endurance, and community re‑entry training.
• Support the physical therapist in implementing treatment plans and goals, including joint mobility, muscle lengthening, and pain relief practices.
• Train patients in locomotion using orthotics, prosthetics, or assistive devices.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid state PTA license.
