Pride Health is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a team in Port St Joe, FL. This is a 13-week assignment, with possible extension.
Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist is responsible for providing professional, accurate, and efficient specimen collection services. This role requires strong phlebotomy skills, professionalism, and the ability to work independently in a rural setting with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection while ensuring proper patient identification and documentation.
- Maintain a safe and professional work environment.
- Deliver error-free work in a fast-paced setting.
- Build trust and confidence by explaining procedures to patients.
- Ensure compliance with confidentiality and patient safety standards.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors while upholding process excellence.
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (REQUIRED)
- Minimum 12 months phlebotomy experience (REQUIRED)
- 1+ years of direct draw experience (REQUIRED due to high patient volume)
- Medical assistant or paramedic training (PREFERRED)
- Customer service experience in a retail or service setting (PREFERRED)
- Keyboard/data entry experience (REQUIRED)
- Reliable transportation (Uber/public transit NOT considered reliable)
- Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
- Strong pediatric and geriatric phlebotomy skills
