Position: Medical Technologist
Schedule: Full-time – 32 hours per week

- Maintain knowledge of all areas of laboratory services, including pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical processes.
- Utilize computer systems for ordering, accessioning, and documenting quality controls and patient results.
- Employ pre-analytical skills for phlebotomy, specimen preparation and evaluation.
- Follow laboratory protocols for instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, quality controls, and proficiency testing with documentation.
- Perform patient testing and recognize factors affecting results.
- Access patient reports for accuracy using delta checks and notify nursing for critical results.
- Monitor inventory and report inadequacies to the Lab Manager.
- Complete annual educational requirements and maintain licensure.
- Successful completion from a School for Medical Technology (Clinical Laboratory Scientist).
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
- Current certification from ASCP, AMT, ABB, NCA, or another approved agency.
- One (1) year of clinical laboratory experience (preferred).
