Job SummaryPerforms designated routine patient mobilization tasks. Duties are of a supportive nature and are performed only with the on‑site supervision of the delegating nurse or therapist. This position does not interpret referrals, perform evaluation procedures, initiate or adjust treatment programs, assume responsibility for planning patient care, and/or discuss medical diagnosis with patients. Coordinates daily unit specific patient mobilization activities, documents in EMR, and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications- Require one of the following: 1.) Florida licensure as Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), or Paramedic, or a military Hospital Corpsman, Combat Medic Specialist, or Aerospace Medical Service Specialist; or National licensure as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT); which must be maintained active during employment; or 2.) Patient Care Technician (PCT) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certification:
Provide certification of successful completion of an SMH approved program, and successfully obtain a Florida CNA license within 120 days of graduation.
HS EQ:
High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
