How You'll Make An ImpactUnder the direct supervision of the Director/Pharmacy, Supervisor/Pharmacy, or a Pharmacist, you will perform a variety of technical and clerical duties for the hospital-wide unit dose drug distribution system. Responsibilities include maintaining confidential reports, entering and retrieving data using the computer system, filling automated medication dispensing systems with a supply of unit dose medications, procuring and filling requests for pharmaceutical supplies, delivering supplies to patient care areas, and managing pharmacy automation.
You will also engage in specialized departmental activities such as documenting medication histories, maintaining pharmacy inventory, sterile compounding, and performing decentralized pharmacy services.

What You’ll Need To ApplyRequired
Education:
High school diploma (or equivalent) and successful completion of a Florida Board of Pharmacy (FLBOP) approved pharmacy technician training program and at least 18 years of age.
Required Experience: Two (2) years of pharmacy experience.
Required Certification/License/Registry: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health career Association (NHA). FLBOP registration in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXXII (Regulations of Professions and Occupations), Chapter 465 (Pharmacy), Section 014 (Pharmacy Technician).
NOTE: Must train fully in sterile compounding AND chemotherapy, automation (i.e., Pyxis technology and narcotics technology), or decentralized pharmacy technology to advance to Pharmacy Technician IV/Cert (JC: 072705)
