OPS Lab Technician (Medicine Biomedical Sciences)
Florida State University – College of Medicine, Medicine Biomedical Sciences
Responsibilities- Perform scientific experiments under the direction of the principal investigator related to immunology, infectious diseases, biochemistry, and structural biology. Tasks include tissue culture, processing human and animal blood and tissue samples, performing virus and bacterial experiments, conducting lab animal studies, protein expression and purification, and immunological assays.
- Maintain routine laboratory equipment, order supplies, and oversee day‑to‑day lab activities. Implement safety procedures and instruct faculty and students in equipment use and operation.
A bachelor’s degree or higher (Ph.D., M.D., ScD., D.V.M., etc.) in an appropriate field is required.
Preferred Qualifications- Excellent scientific writing ability and strong oral communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively and collegially with colleagues.
