Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with experience across various medical specialties. This role involves providing high-quality medical care, performing diagnostic evaluations, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner will play a vital role in enhancing the patient experience through effective communication and comprehensive care management.
Responsibilities
Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.Prescribe medication in accordance with Florida statute regarding Physician Assistants. Collaborates with physician as required by law.Perform minor surgical procedures as authorized by supervising physician.Arrange referrals for patients requiring services not offered at PHI.Review incoming reports (e.g. lab, X-ray, EKG) sign, date, and follow-up in a timely manner.Comply with the PHI Infection Control plan which includes personally utilizing universal precautions. Ensure compliance by support staff.Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical meetings.Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested.Participate in pharmacy activity as appropriate.Assist in outside medical public relations functions.Adhere to UDS productivity standards and meets at least the minimum requirement.Collaborates with all members of the Health Care Team.Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited PA/NP ProgramLicensed by Florida State Board of MedicineCurrent certification by National Commission for the Certification of Physician AssistantsCurrent BLS certificateInsurable for malpracticeWe are an equal opportunity employer and drug-free workplace.
