The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a dedicated Unit Secretary
What You Will Do- Serve as the primary administrative support for the nursing unit
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate and organized resident charts, including filing physician orders, lab results, and documentation
- Enter resident information and updates into the electronic medical records (EMR) system
- Prepare admission and discharge paperwork and ensure records are complete and up to date
- Maintain inventory of office and medical forms; order supplies as needed
- Assist with scheduling and tracking appointments, labs, and consultations
- Schedule resident transportation wherever necessary
- Prior experience as a Unit Secretary, Medical Office Assistant, or similar clerical role in a healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards
- Basic proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
