Cardiovascular​/Cath Lab Technician

A 229-bed acute care facility in Port St. Lucie, Florida is seeking a Cardiovascular/Cath Lab Technician to join its cardiac catheterization laboratory team. The hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission, holds designations as a Certified Primary Stroke Center and an American College of Cardiology accredited Chest Pain Center, and offers a cardiac catheterization lab, minimally-invasive and robotic surgery, and a full range of specialty services.

This is a full-time, on-site position with a daytime schedule.

• Assist cardiologists and radiologists in performing invasive cardiac procedures
• Perform monitoring, scrubbing, and circulating duties across all cath lab procedure types
• Operate imaging and cath lab equipment safely and in accordance with established protocols
• Adhere to ALARA radiation safety standards at all times
• Maintain knowledge of evolving procedures, equipment, and examination protocols
• Ensure a safe and organized patient environment throughout each procedure
• Manage supply inventory and maintain acceptable stock levels within the lab
• Function within the full RT/CVT scope of practice across all assigned procedures

• Education from a school of Cardiovascular Technology required
• CVT/RCIS or ARRT credential required
• Current Basic Life Support certification as a Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association required
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification as a Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of one year of recent experience as a Cardiovascular Technician or experienced ARRT required

Schedule
Full-time, day shift, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (8-hour shifts)
Approximately 10 on-call shifts per month
