ResponsibilitiesDigital Infrastructure (DI) designs, builds, and supports the core technology environment that powers the FSU Libraries. Our team manages critical systems, including cloud platforms, virtual desktops, security tools, and enterprise applications. We partner closely with library faculty, staff, and campus IT units to ensure reliable, secure, and forward‑looking technology that enables research, teaching, and daily operations. DI is a collaborative, mission‑driven group focused on innovation, service excellence, and creating a seamless technology experience for the entire library community.
This position provides hardware and application support and troubleshooting for user technology needs for the University Libraries. Manages the OPS user support staff to ensure excellent customer service.
Support the computers, both Mac and PC, printers and other IT related equipment used by Library staff and patrons. Troubleshoot hardware and software solutions. Responsible for configuration and installation of new equipment and software.
Maintains image capturing devices, eg. Scanners, digital cameras etc. Manage applications used by the library (Zoom, project management solution, digital signage solution, etc). Use automated helpdesk tracking system to document, prioritize and respond to technology requests.
Hire, supervise, and train OPS user support staff to ensure excellent customer service for our users. This includes making employment decisions and approving time.
Recommends policy development and implementation regarding user Technology.
Develops education programs and materials to improve user success with technology and trains libraries employees.
Represent the library at campus IT meetings and report back on new developments to Library IT. Performs other duties as required. A State vehicle, golf cart, utility vehicle, or all‑terrain vehicle will be used to reach the site premises. A valid driver's license will be needed in order to operate a vehicle.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree or a high school diploma or equivalent and four years experience. (

combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.)
A valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License or the ability to obtain one.
