Responsibilities
Peraton requires Systems Administrators to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) - 3 EOM. This position is located at Mac Dill AFB in Florida.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs), and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (Net Ops); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support;
provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services. The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Service Now Administrator to lead the administration and management of our Service Now platform ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Service Now capabilities and will be responsible for optimizing system performance, implementing best practices, and mentoring junior administrators. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Oversee the configuration, customization, and maintenance of the Service Now platform, ensuring optimal performance and stability
- Lead the implementation of new modules, applications, and enhancements based on business requirements
- Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define and document technical specifications and workflows
- Develop and enforce best practices for Service Now administration, including system security, user access, and data integrity
- Tbleshoot and resolve complex issues related to the Service Now platform, providing timely support to users
- Conduct system upgrades, patches, and maintenance to ensure the platform is up-to-date and secure
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures
- Provide training and mentorship to junior administrators and other team members on Service Now functionalities and best practices
- Monitor system performance metrics and make recommendations for improvements and optimizations
- Stay current with Service Now updates, features, and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on the organization
- Enforces Service Now license management & governance (e.g. User, App, API Usage, Custom Tables, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- 16 years with HS Diploma, 14 years AS/AA degree, 12 years with BS/BA degree, 10 years with MS/MA, 7 years with PhD
- A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
- DoDD 8570.01-M IAT II
- 5+ years of experience as a Service Now Administrator, with a proven track record of successful implementations and management
- Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification;
Additional Service Now certifications (e.g. Certified Implementation Specialist) - Experience with Service Now modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HAM/SAM
- Experience with Service Now integration tools and APIs
- Experience with Service Now On-Prem instance implementation, management, and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of database management and SQL (Maria
DB) - Strong understanding of ITIL processes and Service Now best practices
- Proficiency in Service Now scripting languages (JavaScript, Glide Script) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, AJAX)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
