- Must be willing to travel.
- One (1) or more years of experience with printing equipment.
- TSO, CA7, Publisher, and Printer Operations.
- Experience with audit control number type forms.
This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the office located in Tallahassee, Florida.
Work hours are from 6:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
This position requires a security background check, including fingerprinting, as a condition of employment.
Salary Range: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year.
Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle.
Responses to qualifying questions must be clearly supported by the state application and any omission, falsification, or misrepresentation in the answering of the qualifying questions will be cause for immediate elimination from the selection process.
Minimum Qualifications- Knowledge to research information and identify and develop an approach to implement a plan.
- Knowledge of basic data processing terminology, procedures and flow.
- Knowledge of appropriate tools and equipment needed to perform a job.
- Knowledge of technology needed to generate or adapt equipment to serve user needs.
- Knowledge of the functions and procedures for data processing quality control.
- Skill in reading and understanding work‑related documentation and making corrections when changes take place.
- Skill in conducting tests to determine whether equipment, software, or procedures are operating as expected.
- Skill to teach others new tasks or processes.
- Ability to listen actively and ask questions when appropriate.
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments.
- Ability to effectively communicate in the English language clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work flexible hours.
This is professional technical work responsible for the print production and output distribution for the Department of Financial Services. This position may require moving items in excess of 35 lbs. Incumbent duties include, but are not limited to:
- Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
- Confer with staff, users, and management to determine requirements for job scheduling.
- Observe and maintain data center site security and procedures.
- Maintain record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.
- Control workflow for maximum utilization of computer efficiency.
- Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.
- Operate computer peripheral devices and systems.
- Monitor system performance and capacity requirements.
- Read technical manuals, confer with users, and conduct computer diagnostics to determine nature of problems and provide technical assistance.
- Operate computer output preparation equipment and processes to exact specifications.
- Assist users to identify and solve data communication problems.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Incumbent of position is a member of DFS’ Disaster Response Team and, in that capacity, may require short‑notice duties and travel in support of disaster relief efforts.
Responsible for adhering to the division’s information technology security policy, physical access control procedure, and all fire and safety procedures at all times.
