Location: Tallahassee
The Criminal Justice Information Analyst II researches criminal justice databases to verify accuracy and compliance with state and federal requirements, and independently reviews information to make recommendations on firearms transaction decisions. This position is part of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement's Criminal Justice Information Services unit and requires maintaining NCIC/FCIC certification and ensuring data security and integrity.
Key qualifications:- Knowledge of criminal justice system and data collection methods
- Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data from multiple sources
- Ability to operate computers and office equipment
- Ability to work independently and manage workload prioritization
- Knowledge of federal and state firearms disqualifiers
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain working relationships
