Location: Tallahassee
The Cybersecurity Operations Center Analyst supports real-time cybersecurity monitoring, detection, and incident response for Florida's state enterprise. The role involves analyzing security events from multiple sources, triaging alerts, conducting threat hunting, and collaborating with detection engineering and incident response teams. Based in Tallahassee, this position requires correlating threat intelligence and responding to threats across Florida's state systems and data.
Key qualifications:- 3+ years in cybersecurity operations, SOC analyst, or related role
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, Sentinel, Google Sec Ops Open Search, etc.) and EDR/firewall logs
- Proficiency with log query languages (KQL, SQL) and threat intelligence platforms
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent education and experience
- CompTIA Security+ certification required within 12 months of hire
- Ability to participate in on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work
