Brown & Brown is seeking a Benefits Account Coordinator to join our growing team in Tallahassee, Florida. This role is an excellent opportunity for an organized, detail‑oriented professional who enjoys supporting clients, building relationships, and developing a career in the employee benefits industry.
As part of our team, you'll work alongside experienced Account Managers and Producers, helping clients navigate their benefit programs while gaining exposure to renewals, open enrollment, reporting, and ongoing account management. - Support Account Managers with day-to-day servicing of employee benefits accounts
- Assist with annual renewals, open enrollment activities, census preparation, and new business implementations
- Prepare reports, presentations, and client‑related materials
- Maintain accurate client and carrier information within agency systems
- Create and distribute client communications and benefit materials
- Collaborate with Producers, Account Managers, carriers, and clients to ensure a high level of service
- Track reporting and account activity to support client retention and growth
- Assist with data entry, documentation, and policy administration
- Contribute to a positive team environment focused on client success
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Customer service or insurance industry experience is a plus
- Preferred Florida 2-15 License or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire
