The Insurance Analyst III conducts independent research, analysis, and investigations of insurance industry business practices for compliance with Florida Insurance Code within the Office of Insurance Regulation. The role involves analyzing complex data, maintaining databases, drafting legal documents, coordinating hearings, and providing recommendations to management on regulatory matters and legislative changes affecting the insurance industry.
Key qualifications:- Knowledge of basic principles of insurance and risk management or general legal practices in a regulatory environment
- Knowledge of research, investigative, and problem-solving techniques
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel and Word
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain objectivity
