This position will partner closely with Legal, Accounting, Risk, Human Resources, Operations, Sales, and other functional leaders to ensure Yellowstone remains properly registered, licensed, and compliant in the jurisdictions in which it operates. The Compliance Manager will develop and maintain scalable processes around corporate entities, licensing, regulatory filings, liens and payment protections, government and public work requirements, subcontractor compliance, acquisitions, new-market expansion, ethics and whistle blower administration, and other compliance-related matters.
The ideal candidate is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, decentralized organization, managing requirements across numerous states and jurisdictions, and developing practical processes that reduce risk without unnecessarily burdening the business.
Key Responsibilities Monitor federal, state, and local laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and other compliance obligations applicable to Yellowstone's operations and coordinate with Legal and business leaders to address changes or identified risks.
Manage and maintain required business, contractor, landscape, pesticide, and other licenses and permits across Yellowstone's operating jurisdictions, including applications, renewals, and related documentation.
Manage corporate entity compliance, including foreign qualifications, annual reports, registered agents, state registrations, and other recurring corporate filings.
Maintain a centralized compliance calendar and tracking system covering licenses, registrations, permits, certifications, regulatory filings, renewals, and other critical deadlines.
Administer Yellowstone's whistle blower and ethics reporting program, including maintaining the reporting process, documenting and routing matters appropriately, tracking investigations and corrective actions, and maintaining confidential records in coordination with Legal and Human Resources.
Partner with Legal, A/R, and Operations to administer Yellowstone's lien and payment-protection processes, including state-specific requirements, preliminary notices, payment bond claims, filing deadlines, liens, releases, and related documentation.
Support government, municipal, and public works compliance, including contractor registrations, bonding requirements, prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements, affidavits, disclosures, and other project-specific obligations.
Support Sales and Operations with bid and qualification requirements, including licenses, corporate registrations, W-9s, insurance certificates, bonding information, certifications, disclosures, and other required documentation.
Review government and municipal RFPs and other significant bid requirements to identify licensing, regulatory, bonding, registration, or compliance obligations and coordinate with Legal when additional review is required.
Coordinate compliance requirements associated with new states, new markets, and new lines of business, ensuring required registrations, licenses, permits, insurance requirements, and other prerequisites are identified before operations begin.
Support acquisition due diligence and integration by identifying entity registrations, licenses, permits, regulatory requirements, compliance matters, and renewal obligations that must be transferred, replaced, or established following an acquisition.
Track subcontractor compliance, including licenses, certificates of insurance, contracts, registrations, and other required documentation, and help establish standardized subcontractor compliance requirements.
Coordinate with Operations regarding pesticide, chemical, and environmental compliance, including applicable licenses, certifications, permits, SDS documentation, and recordkeeping requirements.
Support DOT and fleet-related compliance matters as needed, including vehicle registrations, titles, transfers, regulatory documentation, and coordination with the appropriate operational owners.
Maintain required government and vendor registrations, including federal, state, and local registrations necessary for Yellowstone to perform or bid on applicable work.
Coordinate and track regulatory notices, inquiries, citations, and requests for information, ensuring matters are routed to the appropriate…
