This role provides leadership over three H&R Block tax offices. You will lead customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business, and serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience and achieving office growth objectives. Prior tax preparation experience is not required.

- Serve as the front-line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates and delivering an outstanding client experience.
- Start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall and transition to full-time January through April, including evenings and weekends as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office-level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and collaborate with the Associate Relations Center to resolve issues and address performance concerns.
- Build an engaging team environment across all offices by training and coaching associates and recognizing contributions.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office staff.
- Create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management across all offices.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries (preferred).
- Experience growing and developing associates and delivering growth plans.
- Aptitude for growth culture and the ability to execute growth plans.
- Strong decision-making and judgment skills; able to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).
