Key ResponsibilitiesWe’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our growing Land Development team in Florida! The ideal candidate will have a strong background with client and project management and will manage private and public civil/site development projects in Florida. Minimum 8 years of experience and an active Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Serve on multiple project teams and support the development of the civil/site designs and drawings.
- Experience and familiarity with civil/site design and the land development process. This role will involve the management of civil and land development projects, the internal project team, the clients, and the permitting and approval processes.
- Responsible for project management, client interaction, and technical and fee proposal preparation within the designated engineering practice. Responsible for the management of projects, development of scopes and budgets, conducting engineering studies and preparing technical reports for a wide variety of high profile projects. Responsible for assisting the engineering practice leader in project budgets and technical deliverables, QA/QC reviews for project or task deliverables, technical and price proposals, communication and interaction with external and internal clients.
Other duties will include marketing, business development and expansion of the engineering practice. - Good communication, supervisory and mentoring skills, reliable, attention to details and accuracy are necessary.
- Successful candidate will have demonstrated business development and project management experience within the past 2‑4 years.
- The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to work with a diverse team.

QualificationsEducation and/or
Skills Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry) and a minimum of 3 years of related professional experience, or 7 years of equivalent professional experience.
- Participation in continuing education and professional development programs.
- Experience in project management roles, with a track record of successful project delivery.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to inspire and motivate project teams.
- Proven organizational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Technical knowledge in the specific field of the project.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, with the ability to develop and maintain comprehensive project plans and documentation.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to project management, quality assurance, and safety protocols.
- Strong problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement effective solutions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Negotiation skills to manage contracts, scope changes, and stakeholder agreements effectively.
- Understanding of accounting principles to effectively manage project budgets, financial reporting, and resource allocation.
Education and/or Work Experience Preferred: Master’s Degree in a related field (AEC Industry)
Certificates, Licenses, and/or Registrations
Required:
Ability to complete the KCI PM Training and Contract Risk Training along with passing the PM Board within 6 months of start date.
