The ideal candidate will:

• Maintain building repairs, capital item replacements, and manage expenses and projects.
• Oversee and provide maintenance for the entire community.
• Monitor and evaluate outside contractors.
• Arrange fire drills and maintain safety documentation.
• Develop and implement building and equipment preventative maintenance programs.

• In-depth technical understanding of repairs and preventative maintenance of heating, plumbing, environmental systems, general repairs, and construction.
• Ability to anticipate the needs of a large senior living community and make sound decisions regarding maintenance and integrity of systems.
• Strong strategic planning and excellent ability to manage, supervise, and educate staff.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Valid NYS license.
• High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to prioritize demands, lead a team, and make sound decisions.
• Strong sense of urgency.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Computer skills, including Word, Excel, and other online systems.
• Fiscally responsible.
