Description

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Amrit Ocean Resort is seeking an accomplished, commercially driven, and service-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the integrated operations of our distinctive luxury resort destination.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic hospitality executive to oversee three interconnected business divisions:

  • Residential Rentals
  • Resort Rooms & Food & Beverage

Reporting directly to Ownership’s designated executive, the COO will translate the resort's strategic vision into measurable financial performance, operational excellence, exceptional guest and resident experiences, and a culture of leadership accountability.

We are looking for a hands-on executive who understands luxury hospitality, possesses strong financial acumen, develops high-performing leadership teams, and knows how to balance profitability with an uncompromising commitment to service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic & Operational Leadership: Lead the overall operating strategy, establish performance goals, and ensure alignment across all three business divisions and Central Support Services.
  • Financial Performance: Drive revenue growth, profitability, GOP performance, expense management, budgeting, forecasting, and labor productivity.
  • Business Leadership: Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to Business Managers, ensuring each division achieves its financial and operational objectives.
  • Guest & Resident

    Experience:

Champion exceptional service standards and seamless experiences for resort guests, wellness clients, residents, and residential rental owners.
  • Commercial Growth: Identify opportunities to increase revenue, improve business performance, strengthen retention, and maximize the resort's market position.
  • People & Culture: Develop strong leaders, build succession plans, strengthen employee engagement, and foster a collaborative, accountable, service-driven culture.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee service standards, quality assurance, safety, security, preventive maintenance, and asset protection.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Finance, Human Resources, Sales & Marketing, Housekeeping, Engineering, IT, Procurement, and other support functions to create one coordinated operating platform.
  • Ownership Reporting: Provide transparent financial and operational reporting, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend strategies that support long-term business success.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 10 years of progressively responsible senior leadership experience in luxury hospitality, resort operations, wellness hospitality, residential hospitality, or a similarly complex service environment.
  • Demonstrated success managing substantial multi-department or multi-business operations with direct P&L accountability.
  • Proven ability to grow revenue, improve profitability, manage operating expenses, and enhance labor productivity.
  • Experience leading senior department heads and business-unit leaders across multiple operating divisions.
  • Strong financial knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, financial statements, GOP, cost controls, and revenue management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop leadership talent, manage organizational change, and establish a culture of accountability.
  • Exceptional communication, strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Experience reporting to ownership, investors, or executive leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience overseeing a combination of luxury hotel operations, spa and wellness, food and beverage, residential rentals, or membership-based services.
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; equivalent executive-level experience will be considered.
The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a visible, approachable, and decisive leader who combines business discipline with a genuine passion for luxury hospitality and wellness.

You are someone who:

  • Leads with integrity, professionalism, and accountability.
  • Understands how to turn strategic objectives into measurable results.
  • Builds strong leadership teams and empowers others to succeed.
  • Makes sound financial and operational decisions.
