What You’ll Do
- Operate plant trucks, including flatbeds, box trucks, tankers, and trailers, to transport raw materials, parts, and finished goods within the facility.
- Safely load and unload materials from trucks or tankers, ensuring loads are properly secured and balanced.
- Ensure the truck is in good working condition, performing basic maintenance checks and reporting any mechanical issues to the maintenance team.
- Transport goods between various departments, including production, storage, shipping, and bulk to ensure smooth workflow.
- Assist with the organization and movement of materials and finished products within the plant to support production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including inventory counts and material documentation.
- Communicate effectively with team members to prioritize transportation tasks and meet deadlines.
- Follow safety protocols, including proper loading techniques, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and safe driving practices.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and safety of the truck and the loading/unloading areas.
- Assist and cross‑train in other jobs as needed.
Regular attendance required. Perform any other duties assigned. Active participation of the plant safety program is required.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
- Must have an acceptable MVR.
- Experience operating commercial or yard trucks required.
- Previous experience operating plant trucks, flatbeds, box trucks, tankers, or similar vehicles in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to safely load and unload materials using proper techniques.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time efficiently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
