Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Strong working knowledge in trouble shooting molding machines and processes.
- Notifies Supervisor and/or Mold Toolmaker if equipment is not operating properly.
- Obtains information for different types of materials and molding conditions.
- Responsible for all cold and starts of the molding machines.
- Ensures parts meet specification.
- Ensures all PM’s on the running machine are completed for every shift.
- Documents all changes.
- Maintains a neat and organized work area, machine, tooling, and parts.
- Keeps insert inventory up to date and notifies supervisor when running low.
- Completes Mold repair work order sheets when tool work is needed and notifies the supervisor.
- Demonstrates the ability to work in a steady, professional manner with little or no supervision.
- Works effectively in a team environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 3 years of industrial injection molding experience required.
- Medical molding device experience preferred.
Must know the machine controllers, different parts to injection molding machine, different tool types and their components. Must know tooling terminologies. Basic understanding in reading blueprints and using different measuring devices. Must know machines auxiliary equipment and possess good working knowledge of robots. Strong knowledge in setting and pulling tools. Must have knowledge of scientific molding and process optimization. Basic knowledge of different material types and molding conditions.
Machine,Tools, And/or Equipment Skills
Must be able to work process on injection molding machines.
Language And Communication SkillsAbility to comprehend and apply language skills to the degree required to perform the job based upon the job requirements listed above. Ability to verbally communicate ideas and issues effectively to other team members and management. Ability to write and record data and information as required by procedures.
