Pump Repair Technician - FL

Reimbursement

$500 Tool Reimbursement after 6 months of successful employment.

This role will be responsible for the repair & rebuild of pumps based on manufacturer specifications. The incumbent will ensure the quality of repair/rebuild, test equipment, and maintain accurate and timely recording of test results and paperwork.

• Disassemble, decontaminate, clean, and inspect vacuum pumps for repair.
• Use hand and power tools, sand blaster, and enclosed pressure washing machines in compliance with safety standards.
• Take photographs of incoming pumps, during disassembly, and outgoing pumps; upload them to computer or SharePoint.
• Read and understand OEM manuals and engineering/technical drawings.
• Measure parts for conformance to engineering design.
• Assist in determining if parts can be repaired or need replacement.
• Lookup correct part numbers and enter them into the work order.
• Perform repair/rebuild according to manufacturer specifications.
• Test equipment to meet quality control requirements and operational specifications.
• Learn and understand each pump type and model operation.
• Comply with paperwork requirements, including work orders and quality documents.
• Record all test results accurately on work orders.
• Paint pumps to factory or customer chosen colors.
• Prepare pumps for shipping: build pallets, bolt and band pumps, shrink wrap, attach documentation and packing slips.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment; comply with company standards.
• Assist with workshop cleaning.
• Operate forklift or other heavy equipment if necessary.
• Maintain safety standards; enter 4 safety observations into SHE Behavioral Observations portal.
• Complete required compliance training (HR, safety, job training); minimum 40 hours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year in a mechanic or related role.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Experience operating forklift or heavy equipment.
• Proven experience with hand tools and measuring devices.
• Detail‑oriented work history.
• Knowledge of the vacuum industry preferred.
