What You’ll DoAs a home‑care registered nurse (RN), you will ensure hospice patients are comfortable and forge compassionate, meaningful connections with their families. You will guide patients and families through the end‑of‑life journey, serve as a hospice educator, and exercise autonomy in bedside care decisions to bring comfort to patients.
You will also help patients and their loved ones understand palliative care and the benefits of comfort‑focused end‑of‑life care. Each day involves caring for patients in their homes or assisted living facilities, making 4‑6 visits daily. Once a week you will attend the local program office with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate holistic support.
