Registered Nurse; RN

Purpose:

Assess medical needs of residents and assure that necessary care and services are being provided.

• Maintain accurate records of care and assure all physicians, families or surrogates are notified of any resident condition changes.
• Administer medications, performed prescribed treatments and document all necessary information as needed and assure that all physicians’ orders are followed as written.
• Respond promptly to all emergency calls and other requests in the Community for medical services and document all changes and pertinent resident information.
• Arrange for home health care and services, if needed, upon resident’s discharge from HCC.
• Secure and store properly all toxic/hazardous substances utilized in the work area.

Required Qualification:

• Registered Nurse currently licensed in the State of Florida.
• CPR certified.
• For purposes of effective communication with residents, families and staff must be able to see, hear, speak, read and write English.
• Maintain ability to stretch, push, pull, kneel, reach, twist, lift unassisted at least 50 lbs and walk or stand up to eight hours.
